Your Delta Dental Dentist
Delta Dental is the largest and most comprehensive provider of dental insurance in the world, and we’re proud to say that we are in-network at New Image Dentistry. We’re able to accept all Delta Dental plans and use them to make our patients’ care as budget-friendly as possible. Below, we’ve written a short guide on how to use Delta Dental insurance with us, and if you have any questions, you’re always welcome to give us a call.
Delta Dental Insurance Coverage & Availability
“What does my dental insurance cover?” is a question we receive every single day, and it’s a good one! The truth is that we can’t tell you exactly which procedures are included in your plan until we talk to you, but generally, most Delta Dental plans have a benefits structure that looks something like this:
- Preventive services are covered 80-100%
- Restorative Services are covered 50-80%
- Cosmetic services are NOT covered
Routine and conservative treatments like checkups, cleanings, dental sealants, and X-rays typically fall under what is considered “preventive.” Fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, and other treatments that are intended to rebuild or replace teeth are considered “restorative.” And, if a treatment is solely meant to improve the appearance of the smile, it will likely fall under “cosmetic.” This includes veneers, whitening, direct bonding, and Lumineers.
Proud to Be In-Network
As an in-network provider with Delta Dental, we’re able to offer our patients insured by them the highest level of savings possible. That’s because we have a contract with them to charge pre-set fees for our services, which they then partially cover. This arrangement helps patients literally save hundreds at each appointment, and most of the time, there is little to no out-of-pocket cost for routine preventive care. This is why you should always choose an in-network dental office if you have Delta Dental.
